Benjamin Arnold approaches the practice of law as a true counselor, providing thoughtful advice and dedicated representation to help clients achieve their goals. He believes effective legal representation starts with understanding the person behind the legal issue. For Benjamin, even the strongest legal strategy has limited value if it does not address the underlying concerns, circumstances, and priorities affecting the client.
His approach is grounded in the idea that practicing law requires more than simply knowing the rules and procedures. It requires listening carefully, understanding what matters most to the client, and developing a practical path forward. Benjamin strives to make each client an active part of the process, providing clear guidance while keeping their broader goals at the center of every decision.
Although Benjamin comes from a family with a tradition of practicing law that stretches back more than a century, his own path to the legal profession has been anything but conventional. He began his career serving as a Cryptologic Linguist in a United States Marine Corps Radio Battalion. His interest in understanding people, ideas, and the questions that shape their lives later led him to study philosophy and theology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including time studying at a Presbyterian seminary.
Benjamin’s career has also given him an international perspective. He lived for several years in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he became proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and worked as a college lecturer with international programs through Western Michigan University and Monash University. These experiences allowed him to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and strengthened his ability to approach complex situations from different perspectives.
Outside of the office, Benjamin is an avid rock climber and hiker. His combination of military discipline, academic curiosity, international experience, and commitment to understanding his clients shapes his approach to practicing law. Above all, Benjamin strives to see the whole person behind every legal matter and to provide counsel that is both practical and personal.
