Frequently Asked Questions

How much will my consultation cost?

Consultations range from 30 minutes to 1 hour and cost between $195 and $385 dollars. You will know the cost of your consult and what will be included before agreeing to move forward. The type of legal issue generally determines what questions needs to be answered, investigation necessary, and review of documents during the consultation. Our priority is to make sure your questions are answered, and a plan is developed that addresses all your legal needs.

Why don't your attorneys do free consultations?

If necessary, our intake team can schedule a free consultation with one our attorneys. However, free consultations are limited in what questions can be answered and what can be discussed. Free consultations are designed to accomplish three things: 1) determine whether we can help, 2) determine next steps, and 3) determine the potential cost of the next step (such as a paid consultation or something else).

During a free consultation, we may not be able to answer specific legal questions about your case. The attorney assigned to handle your free consultation may have limited experienced in that area of law, but they will do everything in their power to help you understand your next step, and whether we can handle your legal needs. Most importantly, our attorneys value your time and want to make sure your expectations are exceeded during your initial consultation, whether free or paid.

What topics are covered in my consultation?

Much like when you go to the doctor, you may tell the intake staff what your issue is, but the doctor ultimately diagnoses and makes a plan for your care. We take your legal matters very seriously, which is why with each consultation, we strive to ensure you feel confident about the future of your case.

In a paid consultation, your attorney will discuss your legal rights, review the specifics of your case, answer your questions, explain the potential cost of your legal services and how a retainer fee works (if applicable), and lay out next steps in your case.

In a free consultation, the attorney will determine whether we can help, provide a summary of the potential next step(s), and explain the cost of the next step. In a free consultation, the attorney will not be able to discuss your specific legal rights as it pertains to your case, and they will not perform an in-depth review of the specifics of your case.
