Before attending law school, David earned a Master’s degree in Social Psychology through a graduate program focused on social stigma, bullying, dehumanization, and the social psychology of genocide. His interest in social issues and his passion for addressing injustices ultimately inspired him to pursue a career in law.
David brings experience from both sides of the courtroom, having served as a prosecutor with the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office from August 2023 to July 2025 and as a public defender with the Tazewell County Public Defender’s Office from July 2025 to April 2026. His legal experience includes juvenile abuse and neglect, juvenile delinquency, misdemeanor, and traffic cases.
David's diverse background allows him to bring a sharp, analytical, and trial-ready approach to his practice. However, he believes that effective advocacy is not about fighting simply for the sake of fighting, but about achieving meaningful results that align with each client's unique goals. He takes a client-centered approach, tailoring his legal strategies to the individual needs, circumstances, and priorities of those he represents.
At his core, David is driven by a strong sense of fairness and a desire to right wrongs. Having spent years navigating high-stakes, adversarial environments, he understands the importance of standing up for what is right and advocating for those who need a voice.
Outside of his legal practice, David enjoys creative writing, watching sports, and spending quality time with friends and family.
