In this episode of Women's Health and Wealth, host Katherine Mangiardi interviews Dr. Shikha Jain, board-certified hematology and oncology physician on faculty at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago on what you can do to be heard, and achieve the things you want to do.

Shikha Jain, MD, FACP is a board-certified hematology and oncology physician on faculty at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Cell Therapy and the Physician Director of Media Relations for the Rush University Cancer Center.

Dr. Jain  is a member of the Women's Leadership Council at Rush and is the founder and host of the podcast "The Rush Cast." She founded and co-chaired the "Women in Medicine Symposium" at Northwestern in 2018 focused on promoting the advancement of women physicians at Northwestern. She is the co-founder and co-chair of the "Women in Medicine Summit: An Evolution in Empowerment" in Chicago. This national CME conference focuses on gender equality and finding and implementing solutions to eliminate the gap. Dr. Jain has written for several organizations including Doximity, KevinMD, ASCO Connection. She was selected as a thought leader by Doximity and completed a year as a Doximity writing fellow. She has several papers published in peer-reviewed journals.  She has also been an invited speaker on these topics and will be speaking at the Harvard Women's Leadership course this fall.  She is the founder of the social media group Dual Physician Families, and she is the COO of SoMeDocs (Doctors on Social Media).

Dr. Jain's clinical focus is GI oncology and her research interests include neuroendocrine tumors, precision oncology, immunotherapy, genomics, and hepatocellular carcinoma.  She has several papers published in peer-reviewed journals.  Her research interests also include gender equity and career advancement for women and underrepresented minorities in medicine, the impact of social media on medicine.
