In this article, our DuPage lease attorneys explain the process of having your contract drafted or reviewed by a lawyer. When reviewing your lease, we will initially prepare a brief bullet-point opinion letter explaining items you should be aware of and any items you may want to renegotiate. After discussing the opinion letter with you, we will work with you to determine the clauses in your lease that you would like revised. At this point, you can either provide our opinion letter to the other party and indicate which revisions you are requesting or have our DuPage lease attorneys draft the revisions directly into your lease and provide the revised lease to the other party. At this point, the revised lease will be reviewed by the other party in the same manner. The attorneys for each party will work with one another and their clients to achieve a lease that is agreeable to all concerned.
