Lincoln Park No Contact Orders

If a person is not eligible for an order of protection due to negative behavior of an individual outside the house household, a person may be eligible to get a Stalking No Contact Order which purpose is to prevent repeated stalking from an individual who is not a family member or member of the household. To be defined as “stalking,” the respondent must have engaged in a “course of conduct,” as opposed to a single act.  A “course of conduct” is defined as two or more actions that may include, but are not limited to: following; monitoring; surveilling; threatening; damaging property; appearing at the petitioner’s home, school or workplace; making unwanted phone calls; sending unwanted texts or emails; and Leaving objects for the petitioner.
